Mange, a large tumor, skin cancer – so much for one gentle dog to cope with!

His name is Kao which means “white”. Yes he’s actually supposed to be a white dog! But this beautiful white dog suddenly got sick and lost all his fur. He is much loved ,  but his Thai owner looks after many street dogs and is extremely poor.

Local Hua Hin, Thailand rescuer Jane Key kindly offered to take Kao to Kasetsart University Vet Hospital where he was diagnosed with mange, anemia, low platelets, blood parasites but worst of all skin cancer and a large tumor on his penis which is currently bleeding and raw.

After a week of antibiotics his platelets have improved and he is able to undergo surgery to remove the painful tumor which will be biopsied.

Kao will then have a course of chemotherapy for the skin cancer which is quite common in Thailand as the dogs have very little shade.  We estimate his medical care including the follow-up chemo to be $200.

Please consider a donation to help his very poor owner help his dog, that he loves so much!! Thank you.
