Orange was only 6 months old when she was a victim of hit and run in Bangkok on July 2nd of this year.
Local Bangkok rescuer Svetlana Zamentina was notified right away & immediately rushed to the scene, but Orange was nowhere in sight. Svetlanda searched for her for 3 days until she was finally found. Orange had such a severe spinal injury that her hind legs were actually stretched out straight in front of her when found sitting next to the road. She was rushed to Kasetsat veterinary hospital where she had surgery the following day.
Even though Svetlana was on a 2 month lay-off from work, she spent all of her time & savings on electrode-stimulation treatments, acupuncture sessions and swimming classes for Orange. This brave dog is now starting to walk again, but only through the love & generosity of her rescuer.
Sadly Svetlana’s landlord advised her she’d have to leave if she wants to keep Orange. She s a rescuer who hates asking for help, but in this case she has no choice and has put Orange ahead of her own wellbeing.
Great news arrived a few weeks ago as a Canadian rescue has offered to finish Orange’s rehab and find her a forever home! However, her flight needs to be covered. We’re trying to raise $440 USD to pay for Orange’s flight.
Please help with a donation in any amount today & allow Orange to find her loving new home in Canada. She is the sweetest most loving dog & you can really help her. Please give if you can, any small donation will help. Thank you.
