This is Boonrod, a street dog in Lamphun Thailand, who was hit by a car and suffered a broken pelvis and subsequent hernia (a tear in the muscles that is allowing intestines to come out in ways they shouldn’t). ♥️ He needs our help urgently! He’s got a collar on only to show he is loved, but he is not owned. He only has us for help!
Expected costs are 20,000 baht ($600 USD) for orthopedic surgery plus hernia repair plus neuter.
Prognosis is very good once he gets surgery! Without it, his intestines could twist and he could die quickly.
LATEST UPDATE FROM AMANDINE: Boon Rod’s his anemia is so severe that we are unable to do surgery for now. Keeping him at the clinic until he is healthy enough would likely require two-three weeks extra of hospitalization but given that we have not yet reached half of our goal for the surgery itself, we can’t afford this option.
I likely will need to take him home and hope it doesn’t provoke more complaints by the neighbors.
He’s also in a lot of pain because of his pelvis. We can help him PLEASE!
