Caroline Meier has been operating a little sanctuary in Hua Hin Thailand for many years now. K9Aid paid her a visit 2 years ago and the care & devotion she gives these animals is extraordinary. Caroline also undertakes regular spey/neuter projects in the Hua Hin area, in a desperate attempt to reduce suffering of unwanted animals.

Recently, Caroline was lucky enough to build a special place for the 34 rescue cats in her care.
They now have their own area with lots more space but they have virtually no creature comforts or play things!

Caroline says…. “the cats always seemed forgotten as they were hidden from visitors around the back, which broke my heart. So I have taken out a loan to build a sanctuary for them.
But we have almost no toys, cat condos or beds(houses)where they can play & hide. We were blessed with few people bringing us toys after their pet died, but they all falling apart now.
I am too shy to ask for help, always being on my own and I feel sorry for other rescuers, so I never ask. I believe that universe will always step in when he see us struggle…so it did.
K9Aid came along and gave my animals a huge Christmas gift with the verry delicious lunch/dinner. Normally we have rice and minced chicken skeleton and some days we have dry food”.
