We have been asked by Tamara Johnston of Thai Street Paws Rescue in Songkhla, Thailand if K9Aid could raise funds to build a small disabled run for 2 very special paralysed dogs in her care. In the future, the run will could also serve as a safe place for vulnerable dogs, sick dogs or puppies.
Tamara’s rescue is being consolidated into one place & in order for these 2 paralysed dogs to be integrated into the main shelter (they are currently in a foster home), they need a special run built where they can be safe, happy & easily cared for.
These 2 special souls are Grace & Yuki Chan, both rescued from the steets of Songkhla, and both paralysed from road accidents. Dogs like these can still lead full, happy lives but they need extra care. In a shelter environment that means a separate structure which incorporates a grassed & sand area for them to play safely, freely & without injury as well as a tiled concrete area for coolness & easy cleaning.
The new disabled structure needs the following:
– a 6 x 6meter concrete slab
– sand & grass
– floor tiles
– wire fencing
The estimated cost is USD$700.
We’d love to be able to provide this structure for Thai Street Paws and give Grace & Yuki Chan a new home as soon as possible. Their photos are below & you can see why we desperately want to help them!
Please give if you can… You will be improving the lives of 2 special souls & more to come. Thank you x
