For the past couple of years, K9Aid has been trying to help local Manila rescuer – Jervy Castillo to feed & care for the many stray dogs she rescues and cares for in her small, ramshackle shelter in The Philippines.
This lady is always ready & willing to help the dogs in need, even though she has very little to offer them. But she spends her life caring for them and trying to raise donations to help keep the dogs fed, protected, loved & safe.
But every year The Philippines is subject to flood rains & typhoons. Each rainy season Jervy tries to fix roofs, purchase tarpaulins to keep the dogs dry and secure. But every year THE DOGS GET WET & ARE MISERABLE. What is really needed is for the existing structure to be re-built securely with proper new quality roofing, walls and floors.
We’d love to be able help Jervy re-build her shelter as she does so much for the animals and it breaks her heart each year seeing them suffer because their “home” is unsafe & falling down around them.
Jervy has created a spreadsheet containing all the materials required to build the new shelter – her dream wishlist – which we have attached in the photos below. Items needed are steel beams, roofing, sand, cement etc.
The total cost to re-build the shelter is approx USD$3500. We’d like to raise as much of that as we possibly can. Will you help us? Any donation however small will be so appreciated & will change these animals lives.
The video shows the existing ramshackle structure and the additional area where the new shelter will extend into.
Thank you x
