$394 Raised 7 Donors $1,000 Goal

WE ARE RUNNING TO HELP THE DOGS OF SYROS!…

On 16th May 2020, the Cyclades island of “Syros” (Greece) will be hosting the “Syros Run”. This is now an annual event and attracts over 1500 participants from around the Greek Islands, various parts of mainland Greece and abroad.

Three years ago K9Aid re-built the Syros Stray Animal Shelter on this island & helped improve living conditions for the dogs.  This year we would like to take full advantage of this Event to raise money for the Shelter dogs, many of whom have spent their entire lives here.

So far we have 5 confirmed runners travelling to Greece to participate in this event from Australia & the UK – Cindy Amey, Derek Amey, Tony Madden, Yvonne Parker, Clive Manners. We are looking for supporters to sponsor these runners by making a donation to our special Fundraiser for the event,  our ultimate goal being to raise $1000 to help the stray dogs of Syros.

If you’d like to join us, we are looking for more runners from any country!.. There are 3km, 5km & 10km events & short events for children You don’t have to run, you can also walk. Entry cost is just 10 euro & includes an official Syros Run Tshirt.

The dogs of Syros need your support! We will be running the streets of Hermopoulis (the main town of Syros) – each kilometer bringing in more help for the dogs. We will also be grateful for any non running volunteers who’d like to come and hold shelter banners & collection tins at the event to raise awareness of the shelter & collect donations from the public.

Please give this fundraiser your full support. None of us are professional runners and several of us are attempting the 10km circuit. If you’d like to join us you’re more than welcome & please ask your friends to sponsor your run by donating to our fundraiser!
