One of the Philippine Rescues K9Aid helps are today fearing the worst. They are located just 30mins from the ridge area surrounding of the Taal Volcano which is currently errupting.
Janice Ong cares for 150 animals in total & 55 of them are located in the town of Cavite, very near the volcano. She has 39 dogs & 16 cats in her care and she is very scared.
She and other local animal rescuers are trying to convince locals NOT to leave their animals behind if they are forced to evacuate their homes. Last time this volcano erupted and people fled, many animals were left behind without any food or water. Some animals were even locked in houses to perish.
Janice helped go around feeding these animals during the last eruption, they are hoping the same won’t happen this time & so have asked for our help to urgently purchase “fold down crates” that can be used to quickly & safely remove these animals with their owners to the Evacuation Centers & not LEFT BEHIND!
We’d like to urgently purchase these crates so that animals can be evacuated with their owners. Please help us,this is very URGENT! Thank you.
We will update as we hear more news.
