Duchess was rescued from the streets of Cavite, in The Philippines 4 weeks ago by local rescuer Irish when she discovered this dog was carrying a large lump in her mammary glands.
Irish took her to the vet for a diagnosis. The vet advises urgent removal of the tumor, to prevent further spread.
When rescuers find dogs like these on the streets, they have to make a decision about whether to act or not (despite their own financial hardships).
Irish says … “This poor dog has lived a life of hardship, treated only as a means to produce puppies for profit, without ever knowing genuine human love.
I want to give her a chance to live a better, healthier life, free from pain and suffering”.
