In Memory of 30 tiny lives

Some stories don’t just make us cry, they break our hearts…
This is one such story where 30 puppies tragically lost their lives.
Claudia Ulm has been rescuing animals in Thailand for over 40 years. For the past 13 years she’s lived in Pattaya dedicating her life to caring for abandoned puppies, sick dogs and street dogs.
Those little colored containers you see in the photos hold the ashes of all the puppies who’ve died in a recent Parvo outbreak.
We cannot imagine the hardship & grief Claudia has experienced throughout this heart breaking ordeal.
Claudia works alone.. she says “I am not a shelter. I am not funded. There is no team behind me. The animals live with me, sleep near me, and are cared for by my own hands
— through illness, fear, recovery, and sometimes through their final moments. Many of the dogs who come to me are already broken by neglect, disease, or trauma.
Some arrive too late. But every single one is named, loved, protected, and treated as a life that matters — even if that life is heartbreakingly short.”
In recent months, Claudia’s rescue was hit by a devastating Parvovirus outbreak. “Despite immediate veterinary intervention, isolation, and round-the-clock care,
the virus tore through my dogs with a brutality I have never witnessed before. Since November, more than 30 dogs have died — many of them babies
ho fought with everything they had and lost anyway”.
“The emotional devastation is something I will carry forever. But alongside the grief came a crushing reality: the veterinary bills from this outbreak are overwhelming.
They have reached a level I cannot manage alone, while there are still dogs alive who need treatment, medication, and care to survive. I am still standing. I am still caring for the survivors.
I have not abandoned this work — but I am at a breaking point”.
We are trying to help Claudia pay for the vet care & medications/supplies which were used in a desperate attempt to save these tiny lives.
Not only has Claudia lost over 30 innocent souls she loved & cared for, she’s now faced with huge costs which she can’t afford to pay.
There is still one little puppy called “Boomer” who’s fighting for his life to beat Parvo. We really hope he can survive this.
Please can we raise some donations in memory of these tiny lost lives that Claudia tried so desperately to save?
