This is a heart warming story of two 16 year old boys from the UK, who found this poor abandoned dog whilst on holiday in Greece.
They have already spent their own money getting Pitta healthy again & now they want to get him to the UK, so they can help find him a forever home.

Rimmi Davies tells us the story of Pitta…
“While holidaying in Greece, my friend and I came across a dog who had been abandoned and left to die.
He was skin and bone, had lost almost all his hair, and his feet were so badly swollen that he could barely walk.

We brought him a pitta kebab and some water from the local town and contacted animal charities for help.
The vet told us he was one of the worst cases he had ever seen and wasn’t sure whether would survive.

Pitta was diagnosed with leishmaniasis, and we paid for his treatment and ongoing care. This included surgery to remove more than 40 grass seeds from his legs and paws.

Thankfully, Pitta is now safe and being cared for by a foster family in Greece, but this is only a temporary solution.
Despite everything he has been through, he remains gentle, loving and incredibly trusting. He deserves the chance to have a safe and happy life.

We have been able to cover his medical treatment and ongoing care, but we now need to raise funds to bring Pitta to England,
where we hope he can find a loving forever home rather than spending the rest of his life in a concrete cage.

The total cost to bring Pitta from Greece to the UK is 800GBP (approx $1100usd).

Pitta will be heading to a beautiful foster home in Devon with an experienced rescuer, who will find him the home of his dreams!
