Rescue Shelters that need your help...

You can help save a dogs life...

Much of the work is just making things happen, from emergency calls for help, providing funds to pay for medical treatment to arranging the often difficult transport arrangement to get a dog to it’s new home. Having found new homes for over 750 dogs our volunteers have a wealth of experience at re-homing. The challenge in animal welfare is to make things happen. You the supporters are always there when a dog is in trouble & really needs a friend, without you nothing happens.

Midnight

It was past midnight when rescuer Adrian Giurgiu from Second Change Dog Shelter in Pattaya Thailand saw a dog lying motionless coughing blood in the middle of the road. The dog had been run over by a car and left there to die.

Lisa

This beautiful dog "Lisa" has had the misfortune to be living with very irresponsible owners in the town of Messologi, Greece. These terrible owners never let Lisa inside their home, so she lived outdoors in a field beside the house. She was subjected to all kinds of weather & spent her entire miserable life (13 years) trying to protect herself from heat, rain, cold & wind. A few days ago, 2 large dogs entered Lisa's field where she was laying & brutally attacked her. The owners couldn't care less, they just wanted her dead body removed from their property and asked local rescuer Sophia Karamouza to come and get it.

Gypsy

This act of cruelty is under investigation by the Romanian police. It is believed someone wanted to kill this cat, but first wanted to make him suffer. This cat was found not far from Elena Carmina's shelter in Bucharest, Romania. He's had a rope tied around his belly a long time ago & as he's grown, the rope has almost sliced this poor soul in half!
