This elderly mother dog is in pain carrying this huge tumor…

Our friends at TFC Nepal have reached out to us for help with this elderly mother dog, who lives in a remote area of Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve – in Eastern Nepal.

They have named her “Tapu Aama” which means “Island Mother” & she’s suffering from a large tumor on her backside, just underneath her tail.
The weight of carrying this large tumor is causing her severe pain and greatly affecting her quality of life.

Access to proper veterinary care in this region is extremely limited, so the TFC Team have safely transported her approx 200kms from Koshi Tappu to the town of Birtamode
for urgent surgery to remove the tumor. Everyone’s goal is to relieve her pain and give her a chance to live a healthy and dignified life.

The cost of transport, surgery & spaying for Tapu Aama will cost approx $250usd.

This is an old dog who has lived on the streets all her life, with locals caring for her like many dogs in Nepal. We just want to take away her terrible pain & discomfort as quickly as possible.
