K9Aid supports the “Hand to Paw Temple Outreach Program” in Chiang Mai, Thailand run by Joy Huss. Joy regularly visits & provides food and medical supplies & health care to the dogs at temples in her surrounding area.
These temples are not allocated any money to look after the dogs, they monks who live here care for the dogs voluntarily and without them, these dogs would have no-where to call home.
|A monthly donation of just $15 will help to ensure these dogs continue to receive the care they need & give them a safe, healthy environment to live in with medical treatment when needed.||
Just $15 per month will
The Wat Nongplaman Temple is located in the center of a small village with small shops and houses in close proximity and is currently home to 9 dogs. The Luang Por (Head Abbott) is a very compassionate man and loves all the dogs in his care.
He even assigns one specific “Nen” monk to be responsible for medicines, so as to assure that they are properly administered to the dogs who need them.
Wat Nongplaman is also the most pro-active temple to take advantage of Hand to Paw’s 24-hour hotline that has saved so many of their dogs from injuries due to road accidents, poisonings and other health issues.
|A One off donation helps to feed the dogs in the temple so they don’t wander off looking for food on the street & risk being run over or bated with poisoned.||
