THE LAST HURDLE IN PADDY’S PAINFUL JOURNEY…

Paddy’s life as a paralysed street dog in the city of Chiang Mai, Thailand was filled with pain & suffering. This poor soul spent endless days, dragging his wretched body around the streets, desperately trying to find enough food to survive. His legs were covered in bleeding open wounds & his bones poked out beneath his skin. Hunger drove him to find a meal to fill his stomach, regardless of how painful it was.

One day, Paddy was noticed by a kindhearted Samaritan & he was rescued by a local cat rescue organization called “Adopt Me-ow Chiang Mai” and brought to hospital to receive his long and caring rest and recovery. Several fundraisers were made with the help of Hand to Paw to cover his large costs and this lucky boy not only had his medical costs covered, but funds were raised as well for his sterilization and a wheelchair once he was strong enough to stand.

Paddy has one last hurdle and this is his hurdle and this is his life-changer to provide his future with safety, care and well-being. Both Adopt Me-ow and Hand to Paw do not have shelters or sanctuaries for dogs – the questions loomed over them as to what will happen to Paddy once he is given the all clear to leave the hospital. That answer came in the jubilant message from Adrian Giurgiu who operates an amazing shelter for paralyzed dogs in Pattaya. He will take him!

To have a shelter agree to take in one more animal during this time of Covid where every rescue is drawn thin from donations, support and volunteers, was a miracle. The one last hurdle is getting Paddy to Pattaya. There are no flights and cost to drive him with a dog-friendly taxi will cost THB 9000 (USD 300). We know we can get him there with your support.

Paddy is also in need of monthly donors to help Adrian cover his costs for taking in one more dog. A monthly donation can also be set up via K9AID if you would like to be his benefactor. We are hoping for USD$50-60/month. Any monthly donation would help.

Paddy’s journey has been long, but the end is in sight. Please help him to reach his goal.

After hearing about the plight of “Paddy”, our wonderful friend Adrian Giurgiu has very generously offered him  a forever place at his disabled sanctuary in Pattaya. We know Adrian will give Paddy  the best possible life and he will have lots of friends to play with, rides on Adrian’s motorbike and plenty of clean, flat space for his wheelie.

We’d like to find several people to sponsor Paddy – each willing to donate a small amount each month to help support Paddy at Adrian’s sanctuary. 

He is very sweet and gentle delightful boy & we really want him to have a the best life he can. Adrian cares for 70 dogs at his sanctuary , 40 of these being paralysed/disabled.
