Cindy has been shot and her puppies poisoned

CINDY HAS BEEN SHOT  & HER 9 PUPS WERE ALL POISONED…

Cindy was rescued yesterday in Lebanon, she’s a 2 year old street dog with a tragic story – told to us by her rescuer Moe Diab from Moe Dogge Shelter.

Moe says…“We are continually contacted by villagers regarding injured or sick dogs. Today we were contacted regarding a female dog who had been shot twice. We’ve named her “Cindy”.

“The villagers told us that Cindy has been staying close to some buildings with her 9 puppies. The locals did not want her, & the pups hanging around, so they tried frightening her way by repeatedly beating her!

Despite the beatings, Cindy remained in this area as she had so many puppies in her care & moving to another area would have been hard for her. It was also close to the dump site, which she regularly scavenged for food to feed for her pups.”

“Then one day last week, the villagers decided to poison Cindy & her 9 pups! Tragically, the poison killed all her puppies, but she survived. After the poisoning, Cindy refused to leave her dead puppies, so the villagers decided to shoot her!.”

Following the shooting, some kind people rang Moe who rushed to rescue Cindy immediately.

She has a bullet in her shoulder and and her spine. She is lucky not to be paralysed. X rays show her shoulder has been shattered into many fragments, the other bullets are lodged in her back end. These people meant to kill this dog!

Cindy will need extensive surgery to fix the damage inflicted by so called humans. She may even need to have the limb removed if the leg cannot be saved. We can repair her broken bones but her broken spirit will be more difficult to heal.

Moe says … “This dog really wants to live & she is only 2 years old . Please if you can help me to get her her surgery I will be so thankful. She only has me and you to change her life”.
